Here are some tips to keep your appliances
Washing Machine
- Do not overload the machine with the clothes; it can damage your washing machine motor.
- Always use the right detergent, which has been made only for your machine, and use the right amount of detergent.
- When you have cleaned your clothes, leave the door open so the smell is removed from the washing machine.
- Clean the drum and the whole washing machine once a month to increase its life.
- Wash the drums with vinegar or lemon once a month.
Dryer:
- Clean the lint filter after washing the clothes so it works properly.
- Do not put too many clothes in the dryer at once; clean the inside of the dryer to keep it clean.
- Always keep the dryer in a straight and standing position.
- Look at the power cord for damage so that any danger can be avoided.
Stove & Oven
- Before turning on the stove, firstly always check the connection of gas and hoses for leaks so that you prevent fire and other hazards.
- Regularly clean the stove and oven so that stains don't set; this can help to increase the life of our stove and oven.
- Keep the parts of ventilation always clean so the passing of air is perfect, and heat will not be throughout from the oven.
- Always place the right tops on the stove or in the oven so that your stove or oven will not be damaged and increase the efficiency of your stove and oven.
- Check properly the door of your oven to make sure that it is tight or properly sealed or not. It can help to improve the efficiency of your oven.
Refrigerator
- Always clean the back coils after every 6 months.
- If there is too much ice in the freezer, firstly clean it and don’t put too many things in the refrigerator; in this way the refrigerator will not cool properly.
- Clean the spills regularly and close the door tightly.
- If your fridge has a water filter, clean it properly.
- Set the correct temperature for your refrigerator at 37-40°F (3-4°C) and for the freezer, 0°F (-18°C).
Garbage Disposal
- Do not put peels of potato or celery in the sink, and don’t use grease or oil.
- Peels of oranges and lemons to make it smell fresh in the kitchen.
- Cut big food pieces into small ones before putting them in the disposal.
- When the garbage disposal is running, keep in mind to always use cold water.
- Turn off the power button before cleaning it by hand.
